Second episode of Techpot with weekly technology updates: Bing and Google

Quickly sharing the second episode of my newest podcast called Techpot. This week’s technology updates concentrates on Microsoft Bing (Chat) and Google.

In this episode, we talk about Microsoft Bing Chat being available for everyone and its add-on for Edge browser. There is also news about Microsoft forcing Outlook and Teams to open links in Edge, which hasn’t gone down well with the community. OpenAI is releasing SHAP-E, which generates 3D art with AI, and it’s reported that they’ve lost almost half a billion US dollars developing ChatGPT. We also have updates on Google, including their hardware news and the Pixel Fold, which is their first foldable phone. They’re also working on bringing Bard, a competitor to ChatGPT, to Pixel phones as a home screen widget. Google is responding to make search more visual with AI bits and they’ve added a blue checkmark to verify senders on Gmail. We also talk about Bluesky, which is founded by Jack Dorsey and offers developers a way to offer their own algorithm. You can watch or listen to the full episode now.
