Hi Time Buddies,

Welcome back to another enlightening journey through the everyday musings and profound reflections that shape our lives. Let’s dive right in and explore the confluence of dealing with a cold, recapping a delightful dinner party, and delving into thought-provoking ideas around AI app development and family reflections.

Dealing with a Cold

All right, Sunday. Hey, Time Buddies. I’m kicking things off with a bit of a cold today, and it’s got me thinking about how interconnected our face is. Seriously, when one part acts up, like the top of your nose, it sends shockwaves of discomfort all around โ€“ into your ear, head, leading to a nasty headache. It really sucks, doesn’t it? Anyway, I think No [that’s what AI thought but I have no idea what it meant]

Dinner Party Recap

Despite the sniffles, we had a big dinner party yesterday. Full house! Honestly, if someone brought a cold or any virus along, I probably got it. The gathering was with a lovely family we met at an all-inclusive resort in the east of Holland, around two hours from here. Turns out, they live nearby, so we invited them over. They’ve got an 18-year-old son just like us, and we hit it off because of their youngest daughter, who’s five, and our daughter, who’s six. It is Sunday, and I was prepping for tomorrow’s dry run while reflecting on today’s recording.

App Development Ideas

Switching gears, I havenโ€™t skipped a day of using the AI, trying to nail down new thoughts. The idea of measuring the importance of a thought by how often it recurs fascinates me. Imagine an app that integrates everything โ€“ recording, talking, selecting titles, pictures โ€“ all in one. Iโ€™ve been scouting existing apps for inspiration but nothing hits the mark. Creating my own app sounds enticing. It’s something I could start small and cheap, as I was reminded by a striking phrase about startups:

“A search for a scalable, repeatable business model.”

Prompt Engineering Thoughts

Prompt engineering is another intriguing concept that’s been bouncing around in my head. The way you phrase your prompts now might always be crucial. Adding prompt logic behind simple buttons can make all the difference. This thought also made me think about something called Animate, with its plethora of scroll wheels and faders, like a DJ console for fine-tuning AI-generated images. It’s powerful to see and even more fascinating considering the potential for short AI-generated movie snippets.

Family and Financial Reflections

Of course, my mind wanders back to family. My daughter Nadia, blossoming beautifully, demands the most care and attention. We’re even contemplating taking a second mortgage to redecorate our home โ€“ we need a new kitchen, bathroom, and stairs. Money, right? Even the basics like groceries cost a lot. My income in the tech industry is decent but far from extravagant. Respect to those living on minimum income; it’s a tough world out there.

Financially, I’m doing okay, but thereโ€™s always the thought of spending wisely. Could I turn my journal app into a side hustle? If it turns into a hit, maybe I could fund a foundation and do some good. Not about being a millionaire, just about making a positive impact.

For now, Iโ€™m probably the only one dreaming about these things. But hey, you never know. See you later, Time Buddies!

Peace out,
Mike
